Sand

Life goes on

I take my turns

Give it another thought

It could be worse

The hurt could stain

I could wallow in my own pain

I could take what has been given

I can change what's been written

Its not set in stone

But the sand we walk in churns

I can lift myself up

Not take anything from an empty cup

No longer feel incomplete

Because I have what I need

Each day a mystery

I gladly take what no one sees

There is so much about me

I can look in to myself

Find the quiet

Find the silence not deafening

The sand always changes

I can smile with no guilt

I can find happiness

I can be what I always wanted

I can be myself
